This Privacy Policy explains how Life Post ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the iOS app. By using Life Post, you agree to the practices described below.
Plain-English summary. Life Post is a creative writing assistant. We process photos and text you submit through AI providers only to generate writing drafts. We do not sell your data, do not show ads, and do not post anything to social networks on your behalf.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Photos and screenshots you choose to upload for caption generation.
- Text input such as topics, pasted posts you want to reply to, brand voice presets, and style preferences.
- Account identifiers from Sign in with Apple — a stable Apple-provided user ID and optionally the email relay address you authorize.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Diamond ledger — purchases, trial grants, and consumption records tied to your account.
- Device and diagnostic data — iOS version, app version, crash reports, and basic performance metrics used to keep the app stable.
- Usage events — counts of generations per scenario (caption / post / reply / cross-post) to monitor service health. We do not record the content of your generations on our servers for analytics.
1.3 Information stored only on your device
- Your history and bookmarks of generated drafts (SwiftData local store).
- Your default platform and style preferences.
- OCR text extracted from screenshots in the Reply composer — extraction runs entirely on-device using Apple's Vision framework, and the image itself never leaves your phone.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To generate captions, posts, replies, and cross-post drafts you explicitly request.
- To deliver and verify in-app purchases of Diamonds and to grant daily trial Diamonds to signed-in users.
- To restore previous purchases and reconstruct your Diamond balance from Apple's StoreKit transaction history.
- To diagnose crashes and improve quality and reliability.
- To enforce our Terms of Use and prevent abuse.
3. AI Processing & Third-Party Providers
Important. When you tap "Generate" on a photo or text input, your input is sent securely to our AI routing provider,
OpenRouter, which forwards the request to an upstream model (such as OpenAI's GPT-4o family). This is required for the app to produce a draft.

We do not operate a server-side image archive. Photos are transmitted to OpenRouter only for the duration of a single inference and are not stored long-term by Life Post. Upstream providers may retain inputs briefly for abuse prevention or model improvement according to their own policies — please review OpenRouter's privacy policy and OpenAI's privacy policy.
3.1 On-device processing (no upload)
- Screenshot OCR in the Reply composer runs locally via Apple's Vision framework. The screenshot stays on your phone.
- Basic image preprocessing (object/scene labels, dominant color, face-presence flag) happens on-device before any optional upload.
4. Photos & Sensitive Content
You decide which photos to send. To protect your privacy, please do not upload photos containing:
- Identifying documents (passports, ID cards, driver's licenses, financial documents).
- Medical records or clinical imagery.
- Children's faces or other identifying information about minors.
- Anyone else's image without their permission.
Life Post is designed for creative drafting only. Generated drafts are AI suggestions and must be reviewed before posting anywhere.
5. Data Retention
- On-device history and bookmarks: retained until you delete the item or uninstall the app.
- Purchase records: retained as required by Apple and applicable tax/accounting law (typically 7 years).
- Diagnostic logs: retained up to 90 days for crash debugging, then deleted.
- AI request payloads: not retained by Life Post beyond the immediate inference round-trip.
6. Your Rights & Choices
- Access & export. Your local history is visible inside the app and can be copied out.
- Deletion. Use Profile → Danger Zone → Delete Account to permanently remove your account, identifiers, and any associated server-side records. Local history can be cleared separately from History.
- Opt out of clipboard detection & on-device OCR from Settings → Privacy & Performance.
- Email contact. For any privacy request, email Satpaldhanor@icloud.com.
7. Children
Life Post is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International Transfers
AI inference is performed by providers whose infrastructure may be located outside your country of residence (primarily the United States). By using the app you consent to this transfer for the purpose of generating your requested drafts.
9. Security
We use HTTPS for all network traffic, Apple Keychain to protect auth tokens, and App Group containers with sandboxed entitlements for inter-target data sharing (Share Extension, Widgets). No system is 100% secure — please use a strong device passcode and Face ID/Touch ID.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by an in-app notice.
